The Shangri La Museum of Islamic Art, Culture and Design posted a news piece about their support to the Nimrud Rescue Project.

The Bowdoin College Museum of Art published a short write-up called “Recovering Nimrud: Smithsonian’s Projects in Iraq”  at The write-up describes a visit to Bowdoin and lecture given by Smithsonian Institution staff Jessica S. Johnson and Cori Wegener.  

On April 29th, the International Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (IIC) published the article “The Nimrud Rescue Project” in Studies in Conservation as part of the forthcoming supplement: IIC 2020 congress preprints. The article is available at  

On May 7th, Research, Assessment and Safeguarding of the Heritage of Iraq in Danger (RASHID) International published a webpage on Nimrud that includes a reference to the Nimrud Rescue Project:  

The Smithsonian Cultural Rescue Initiative hosted a live presentation entitled “Heritage and Capacity Building in Iraq Today” on Facebook Live on June 30th with Smithsonian staff Jessica S. Johnson and Brian Michael Lione. The discussion focuses on work at IICAH and includes references to the Nimrud Rescue Project. A recording of the event is at
