Oil Paint
A collector sent me a photo of a painting he purchased from me that had huge ripples and sagging. It was a commercial linen canvas on stretcher bars. I will fix it for him and intend to glue it on a hard panel; what is the best adhesive to use to adhere to a composite material panel?

What you are talking about is a conservation question and we
generally have a policy of not giving conservation treatment advise. There are just
way too many variables that could result in a painting being destroyed rather
than restored. We always recommend that the owner consult with a painting conservator.
However, this is a work that you created, and it is your
responsibility to weigh the possible damage/destruction of your work with the
economy of doing it yourself. Before delving into a plethora of possible
options based on variables that are not included in you post, you should start
by reading through our “Rigid Supports” downloadable PDF in our Resources
Section.
