Fellowship in Objects Conservation-Emory University

With support from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the Michael C. Carlos Museum of Emory University is offering an advanced fellowship in objects conservation.  The two-year fellowship will begin in September 2015.

Project Conservator-Penn Museum Conservation

Penn Museum Conservation has a three-year opening for a Project Conservator, providing conservation support for the upcoming move of approximately 40,000 objects to an off-site facility.

The Department of Preservation and Conservation at the University of Michigan Library is now accepting proposals for the Cathleen A. Baker Fellowship in Paper and Book Conservation. Established by a gift from conservator, teacher, and paper historian Cathleen A. Baker, the Baker Fellowship provides financial support for conservators at various levels in their careers to enable them to spend time working on a research or practical project at the University of Michigan Library's Conservation Lab.

Paintings Conservator-Oakland Museum of California

The Oakland Museum of California is currently seeking an experienced Paintings Conservator, 4 or 5 days/week, in the Collections and Information Access Center.

The Milner Library Conservator determines, prioritizes, performs and supervises conservation and restoration treatments on a wide variety of library and archival materials.

Objects Conservation at the Smithsonian, National Air and Space Museum

The National Air and Space Museum holds over 60,000 artifacts representing three centuries of aerospace history from 18th century ballooning to current spacecraft. The fellowship will introduce the candidate to a wide range of composite objects, metals, organic materials and painted surfaces. The fellow’s independent research will be derived from the diverse collection materials.
