BACC - Paintings Conservation Fellowship

The Balboa Art Conservation Center (BACC), an active regional conservation center located in San Diego, CA, is offering a one-year post graduate Mellon Fellowship in the conservation of paintings. Fellows will work with a wide variety of collection types performing conservation services in examination, treatment, analysis, and on-site surveys. Interested applicants should apply in writing with a resume, three letters of recommendation, and three examples of treatment experience. Please submit applications by March 15th.

BACC - Paintings Conservator

The Balboa Art Conservation Center (BACC) seeks a collaboratively-minded and conservation treatment-oriented conservator of paintings to become an integral part of the staff of the Center's painting conservation department. The department is staffed by conservators of paintings and a conservation technician and is supported by the BACC Registrar. Interested applicants should apply in writing with a letter of interest, resume, three letters of recommendation, and examples of treatment experience. Monuments Technician-Citywide Monuments Conservation Program and New York City Parks and Recreation, Art and Antiquities Department

The Citywide Monuments Conservation Program and New York City Parks and Recreation, Art and Antiquities Department, seek qualified candidates for the 2016 summer field season. These are 40 hour a week paid positions, Monday through Friday beginning in June for up to three months with a possible extension.

Project conservator (full-time, temporary)-Missouri Historical Society

The Missouri Historical Society is seeking a Project Conservator with a specialization in the conservation of objects. The Project Conservator will be responsible for the conservation treatment of objects belonging to MHS’s collections in the Missouri History Museum and the Soldier’s Memorial Museum in preparation for the latter’s re-opening in 2018.

Mellon Fellowship in Paintings Conservation-Philadelphia Museum of Art

The Philadelphia Museum of Art is offering an Andrew W. Mellon Postgraduate Fellowship in Paintings Conservation. The Fellowship will begin in September, 2016 with a term of two years and the possibility of renewal for a third year. 

Kress Fellowship in Painting Conservation-The Conservation Center of the Institute of Fine Arts, NYU

A two and one half years fellowship is open to graduates in painting conservation from a recognized post-baccalaureate training program in either the United States or abroad. Work experience in research or conservation practice after graduation is desirable. The candidate's principal interest must be the restoration and conservation of Old Master Paintings, primarily of the Italian Schools. 

Conservation Fellow - Contemporary Art Conservation Fellowship at SFMOMA

 The Conservation Department at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art is pleased to offer a two-year, advanced Fellowship in the conservation of contemporary art, beginning fall 2016. The Fellow will participate in the inauguration of the new SFMOMA including the SnØhetta expansion and the museum's Collections Center. The fellowship will focus on 20th and 21st century art. In keeping with the nature of contemporary art, the Fellowship is designed to initiate constructive dialog between conservators working in different disciplines (including paper, paintings, objects, photographs, and electronic media) as well as artists, curators, art historians and others expert contributors.
