The University runs a variety of shuttle buses throughout campus and Newark. Besides the regular daytime buses, there are also two different evening routes and a late route. Students can track the shuttle buses from their phones or laptops; they can find the location of all of the running buses in real time and the estimated arrival times of each bus for all of the listed stops.
Students and University organizations can rent UD Motor Pool vehicles.
Students over the age of 18 can rent a Zipcar for the day or for short-term trips.
There are three Unicity Bus System routes around campus and the city of Newark.
The DART buses run throughout the state of Delaware, including around campus and Newark.
The Megabus routes run throughout the United States and Canada. The Megabus stop at the University is the bus shelter in Parking Lot 6 on Laird Campus by the Christina Towers. A map can be found on the Bus Stops section of the Megabus website.
SEPTA (Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority) offers trains and buses in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties.
Amtrack trains run across the United States. The University stop is the shelter alongside the train tracks where South College Avenue crosses the tracks. A map can be found on the Stations sections of the Amtrack website.
There are Catch-A-Ride bus lines that run from Newark to New York City and from New York City to SUNY schools throughout the state of New York. The Catch-A-Ride bus stop is located between the Trabant Parking Garage and the Trabant Student Center.
