​The Poison Book Project continues to draw attention from bibliophiles​. At this year’s New York Antiquarian Book Fair, booksellers offered over half a dozen 19th-century bookbindings for sale as “poison books.”

​A new website, NEH for All, features programs supported by the federal agency, including the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation.

From the website: An initiative of the National Humanities Alliance Foundation, NEH for All is a focused examination of National Endowment for the Humanities grantees across the nation. . . . The Winterthur/University of Delaware Graduate Program in Art Conservation is one of only five graduate programs in the nation that trains conservators. Part artist, part scientist, these specialists preserve and restore the artifacts—ranging from great works of art, to fossils, books, and letters—that populate museums, libraries, and archives. Their work makes it possible for scholars to make new discoveries about the past and for museums and other institutions to educate the public. Recognizing that preserving cultural heritage is crucial to the United States’s interest, the NEH has supported research and training in the graduate program since 1967. Graduates have gone on to work in organizations across the nation and world, ensuring that our cultural heritage is maintained for generations to come.
