Brian Baade
Limited Term Researcher
Brian Baade worked as a practicing painter and illustrator with a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago before attending the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation. As a Graduate fellow, he majored in painting conservation with a focus on the identification and analysis of historic painting materials and techniques. His summer work projects included two months at the Chateau Parentignat in Auvergne, France treating paintings from the collection and a summer in Amsterdam where he assisted with the analysis and reconstruction of media used by Vincent Van Gogh. Brian recently completed an internship in painting conservation at the Yale University Art Gallery. He is now employed as a Limited Term Researcher at the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation where he helps teach both undergraduate and graduate students.
