Undergraduate Program
The Art Conservation Department offers an undergraduate degree in Material Culture Preservation which prepares students for a graduate-level study in conservation, historic preservation, museum studies, or library science. Majors often minor in related disciplines including Material Culture, Anthropology, Art History, History, and Chemistry.
Students interested in applying to the undergraduate program must apply to the University of Delaware through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
*Note for Transferring Students: The Department cannot guarantee that you will graduate in less then two years when transferring from another institution or from another major within the University of Delaware. Most transfer students spend at least 2, if not 3, years earning the bachelor’s in art conservation even with transfer credits approved from a previous institution.
