About Us

The University of Delaware Art Conservation Department offers preservation degrees at the undergraduate, Master's, and PhD levels, including:

These programs, though separate, are nested and interconnected with our students interacting as mentors, teaching assistants, and interns.  This interface provides unique training opportunities for future practitioners, scholars, and preservation educators.

We educate and train professional conservators who are well versed in the treatment, analysis, documentation, and preventive conservation of individual artifacts and entire collections from archaeological artifacts to contemporary collage. Our students are powerful public spokespersons for cultural heritage and its preservation.
