This year WUDPAC Fellow, objects major, and material culture enthusiast Riley Thomas is treating a mid-20th-century Yoruba object called an Ile Ori, which translates to “house of the head.”

Our cultural property is threatened by repeated exposure to a variety of detrimental factors, including excessive light, temperature, and humidity extremes, pests, pollutants, poor handling practices, natural disasters, and accidental damage.
